Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport issued the following announcement on Aug. 8.

Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW) Airport customers will have direct access to Israel for the first time when American Airlines launches service to Tel Aviv next year. American Airlines will operate the only nonstop service between Texas and Israel with three weekly flights, utilizing Boeing 787-9 aircraft on the route.

“DFW Airport is pleased to connect our customers to another international destination during this time of unprecedented growth,” said Sean Donohue, chief executive officer at DFW Airport. “Nonstop service to Tel Aviv will provide added convenience for customers traveling to Israel for business or leisure, whether local to North Texas or connecting through DFW on the American Airlines global network.”

“The market in Israel is growing, and offering year-round service from DFW gives us the opportunity to offer more customers the most direct flights possible to and from the region,” said Cedric Rockamore, Vice President of DFW Hub Operations at American Airlines. “And with about 900 daily flights and more than 9,000 daily one-stop combinations of connections from DFW, the possibilities are pretty close to endless.”

Tel Aviv flights will be available for sale on Oct. 10, 2019. With this addition, DFW Airport provides nonstop service to 66 international destinations and 190 domestic destinations.
