DHL, the world’s top international express services provider, recently announced the company has improved its delivery service in the Chicago area by using helicopters.

The helicopter service recently launched in downtown Chicago, and will offer early morning delivery services for legal and financial firms located in the area. The helicopters will be specifically reserved for these firms that need urgent deliveries. There will be additional helicopter services allowing overnight deliveries between the Eastern U.S. and London.

DHL Express is the first international express deliver company to use helicopters to carry out regularly scheduled deliveries. Regardless of traffic problems, the Chicago area’s renowned professional and financial firms will receive regular, early morning delivery services. These changes should assist the firms in their own business as well as improve the services of DHL.

“We have received tremendous customer feedback on our helicopter service in both New York and L.A., so it seemed natural that we would bring this innovative delivery method to Chicago, which also is a bustling financial epicenter,”

DHL Express U.S. CEO Mike Parra said. “While we have always excelled at making deliveries with speed and reliability, our helicopter service provides additional assurance that shipments will meet their early morning deadlines.”
