GOBIERNO REGIONAL DE AREQUIPA- PERU: Regional Government Delivered Good Pro For Construction of III Section of New Road to the North Cone

Gobierno Regional de Arequipa- Peru issued the following announcement on Sept. 7.

The Selection Committee of the Regional Government of Arequipa gave the good advice to the Road Integration Consortium II for the execution of the works Improvement of Transidability of the North Road Integration Hub between the Intersection with the Aviation Avenue of Yura District and Cerro Colorado-Section III that will help reduce chaos and traffic congestion in the Arequipa-Yura highway.

The Consortium Integración Vial II, integrated by the companies Infraestructuras SA-Sucursal del Perú and Neptuno Contratistas Generales SAC, was awarded the work of the also called “Nueva Vía al Cono Norte” with an investment of S /. 61’598,478.94 soles.

The III section that will be intervened begins at Av. Las Torres (from Av. Apipa to the PE-34A highway), in a length of 3 660.00 ml (3.66 km) will be executed a double track of two lanes each in senses Opposite which will be paved with asphalt hot folder 2.5, the width of both roads will be 7.20 meters.

Likewise, concrete and hammer lanes will be built on 15,829.86 m2, cobblestone berms on 17,303.47 m2 with a natural grass garden area on 75,638.25 m2, construction of roundabouts, 351 ml of cyclopean concrete walls FC = 175 kg / cm2 + 30 % pm, concrete wall reinforced with F’c = 210 kg / cm2, pluvial drainage, environmental and archaeological protection program and lighting system.

The contract will be signed within 15 days so it is estimated that the work will begin at the end of this month. The integral project of the New Way to the North Cone demands a total investment of S /. 266,474,556 soles. It will be executed in 4 stages.
