The Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT) will hold an open-house meeting on Monday, Feb. 8, to discuss proposed improvements to U.S. 30 and T Avenue in Boone County.

The improvements include eliminating the media crossover pavement currently in the intersection. Removing the pavement would make the intersection a right in/right-out-only area.

The general public is welcome to attend the open-format meeting at any time between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at United Community School, 1284 U Ave., in Ames. IDOT officials also will attend the meeting to discuss the proposed improvements. There will not be a formal presentation.

If anyone who is disabled needs reasonable accommodations to attend the meeting, he or she should contact IDOT staff by Wednesday to provide enough notice to make arrangements.

Further details on the proposed improvements contact Tony Gustafson, assistant district engineer for IDOT, at 515-239-1635 or 800-899-0623, or email [email protected].
