July 1 deadline set for bids on New York ship inspection services

Businesses interested in providing ship inspection services in New York must submit their bids by July 1, the U.S. Department of Transportation said recently; additional information concerning this soon-to-arrive opportunity can be viewed at the web site www.FedBizOpps.gov.

Bidders must be properly registered in the federal government’s System for Award Management (SAM) and have the North American Industry Classification System codes 488390, Other Support Activities for Water Transportation, and 488, Support Activities for Transportation, filed in their SAM account or vendor profile.

Businesses that would like to learn how to bid on available opportunities or register in SAM can call Acquisition Specialist Justin Jones at 877-252-2700 ext. 757. Vendors have enrolled in the government’s Simplified Acquisition Program (SAP) to win contracts, network with procurement officers across the nation and qualify their business for government contracting.
