Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development issued the following announcement on Jan. 25.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Tuesday, January 29, a construction project estimated at $283,250 will begin on LA 14 Bypass westbound at the intersection of US 167 in Vermilion Parish.

The work is estimated to take place from Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., weather permitting.

The road will be open to regular traffic for the duration of this project.

The project will include adding a turn lane on LA 14 Bypass Westbound at the intersection of US 167.

The project is estimated for completion in April 2019.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
