The public is invited to an open house, hosted by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and the City of Saline, during which a project to rebuild US-12 (Michigan Avenue) between North Maple Road/Old Creek Drive and the east side of the bridge at Mill Pond in Saline will be discussed.

The open house takes place on 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, at the Liberty School cafeteria, 7265 Saline-Ann Arbor Road in Saline. The public can stop by anytime during this two-hour period to get information. No formal presentations will be made. Several accommodations, including large-print materials, auxiliary aids, interpreters, signers and readers can be made available for the disabled or others with special needs. To make such a request, call 810-227-4681.

The project also includes downtown streetscape and utility upgrades.

The project will begin in April, during which time only one westbound lane will be open between Monroe Street and Maple Road; eastbound traffic will be detoured via Henry Street.
