Michigan Department of Transportation recently issued the following announcement.

WHAT: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will have an informational open house meeting to  provide an update on the final design and construction schedule for a new roundabout at the intersection of US-131 and M-186 in Fife Lake.

WHO: MDOT Traverse City Transportation Service Center (TSC) staff

           Representatives of the construction contractor, J&N Construction LLC of Gaylord

           Interested residents, commuters and business owners

WHEN: Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2019

             5 – 7 p.m.

WHERE: American Legion Post 219

               10283 M-186

               Fife Lake

Accommodations can be made for persons with disabilities and limited English-speaking ability. Large print materials, auxiliary aids or the services of interpreters, signers, or readers are available upon request. Please call 517-335-4381 to request at least seven days before meeting date.

BACKGROUND:

The Fife Lake roundabout will be a single-lane design, similar to the roundabout at the intersection of M-37 and M-115 in Mesick. The project will require closing the gas station driveway closest to the intersection, and other driveways will be moved.

Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in mid-April and be completed in late summer. More information on how to use roundabouts and their safety benefits is available at www.Michigan.gov/Roundabouts.

Today, Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) officials announced that independent credit agencies, S&P Global Ratings (S&P) and Moody’s Investors Service (Moody’s), affirmed the bi-state agency’s bond ratings of ‘A’ and ‘A1’ respectively on both the DRBA’s long-term underlying rating (SPUR) on revenue bonds outstanding and the proposed $180 million Series 2019 Revenue Bonds.
