Nevada Department of Transportation issued the following announcement on Sept. 27.

The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will close the Interstate 15 southbound High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane between Spring Mountain Road and Flamingo Road from 10 p.m., October 1, until 5 a.m., October 4, in Clark County. An additional inside southbound travel lane will also be closed from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. nightly, beginning the evening of October 1 and continuing through the morning of October 4. The temporary closures are needed for bridge joint repairs as part of routine maintenance.

Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but unscheduled construction changes, closures and restrictions are possible due to weather or other factors. For the latest state highway conditions, visit nvroads.com or call 511 before driving.
