The board of directors for Roadrunner Transportation Systems Inc., a top asset-light transportation and logistics services provider, recently announced that Brian Murray will join the board, in addition to being involved in the audit committee under Roadrunner’s chairman.

“We are extremely pleased that Brian is joining our board of directors and we look forward to his contributions,” Mark DiBlasi, president and CEO of Roadrunner, said.

At the moment, Murray works at Ryan Companies U.S. Inc., a firm that offers real estate services like development, engineering, architecture, capital markets, construction, and real estate management across the U.S. He has been the company’s chief financial officer since Nov. 2009, as well as its chief operating officer since May 2014. Before working with Ryan Companies, Murray worked with UnitedHealth Group Inc. in a variety of positions.

Further announcements from Roadrunner also state that Chad Utrup is no longer the chairman of the company’s audit committee, as he has resigned.

“I would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Chad Utrup for his dedication and contributions to Roadrunner,” DiBlasi said. “Since our IPO in 2010, Chad has provided valuable guidance as Roadrunner has grown and evolved.”

The company anticipates positive results from the new addition to its leadership team.
