NFI receives recognition for on-time service

Diageo, a global producer of alcoholic beverages, has awarded NFI the Johnnie Walker Service Award for On-time Delivery, the company announced Wednesday.

“NFI values its long-lasting relationship with Diageo,” NFI vice president of corporate sales Kaz Kaczerski said. “It is an honor to once again be recognized as a top on-time transportation provider.”

The award acknowledges the company for the

service quality it provided in 2014 and for having one of the top rankings in terms of timeliness of its deliveries. NFI has been in the transportation industry for over 80 years, and Diaego’s brands include Guinness, Tanquerauy, Captain Morgan, Bailey’s Irish Cream, Bushmills, Johnnie Walker, Crown Royal and Smirnoff.

According to the report, NFI employs approximately 8,000 people and has an average of $1.1 billion in annual revenue. The company has business lines in transportation, warehousing, brokerage real estate solar services among other sectors. The fleet consists of approximately 2,000 truck tractors and 8,200 trailers and it employs over 2,600 drivers and approximately 200 owner-operator personnel.

The company offers transportation services to multiple industries including apparel, food and electronic commerce.
