The National Transportation Board (NTSB) recently announced a final agenda as well as further details for its upcoming forum titled Humans and Hardware: Preventing General Aviation Inflight Loss of Control.
There are four general areas of discussion that the forum will address,
including human performance and medical issues, industry and government
perspectives and actions, equipment and technology solutions and pilot
training solutions.
The NTSB is encouraging pilots as well as others involved in the aviation safety community and industry to submit their questions about inflight loss of control issues. Eligible questions must be sent to [email protected] by Oct. 13 at 3 pm ET.
“Understanding questions that pilots have will be critical to the forum’s success,” Earl Weener, NTSB Member and chair of the event, said.
This forum will be hosted in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 14.
The agenda includes an end-of-day roundtable discussion that will start
at 4:05 pm ET. This discussion will serve as a recap of the day’s
topics.
“We’ve added the new digital functionality to make it easy to share the
event with other pilots,” Weener said. “Those with compatible calendar
software can also save the date and time directly to their device.”
