National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) leaders will publish its “2016 Most Wanted List” Jan. 13 to enumerate desired transportation safety improvements.
The list will be released as part of a press conference to help the NTSB and its partners focus on the most important transportation safety issues that need improvement throughout the United States.
The press conference is scheduled during the leaders’ 95th Annual Meeting for the Transportation Research Board. This board is organized to help implement and develop technology that will improve the safety of transportation and infrastructure throughout the United States.
Improving U.S. transportation and infrastructure safety is an important segment of American society and economy; many local businesses as well as residents rely on transportation and infrastructure on a daily basis.
“The multi-modal Most Wanted List is an annual roadmap to assist in improving transportation safety,” Christopher A. Hart, NTSB chairman, said. “The issues on the list are, by definition, among the most challenging transportation safety issues, and we hope that focusing more attention on them will encourage industry and government agencies to take action that will help move the needle.”
