Forbes magazine recently included Old Dominion Freight Line on its “Best Employers 2015” list.

The list included 500 employers, all of which were selected based on an independent survey of 20,000 U.S. workers employed by large U.S. institutions, companies and divisions of international firms.

The survey anonymously asked the individuals via several online questions whether they would recommend their current employers or other employers within their industries.

“We are always honored to receive recognition, but particularly so when our employees say Old Dominion, for them, is among the best employers in our country,” David Congdon, Old Dominion’s president and CEO, said.

Previously, Old Dominion made Forbes’ list of “America’s Most Trustworthy Companies” in 2014 for the third consecutive time. The National Shippers Strategic Transportation Council (NASSTRAC) named the company as the 2015 Carrier of the Year for the third year in a row. Inbound Logistics included Old Dominion in its 75 Green Supply Chain Partners for the fifth year in a row; Logistics Management gave the company the Quest for Quality Award for the fifth consecutive year. CIO magazine included the company in the IT Excellence category of the magazine’s 100 Award for the fifth year in a row; and Mastio & Company named Old Dominion the top National LTL carrier for its fifth consecutive year.
