New York's Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) has made the first addition to its subway system in the last 26 years, and now the new station, 34 Street-Hudson Yards Station on the 7 Subway Line Icon, is open. The new station and subway line have modern mechanical, electrical and communications systems. Service now extends to the far West Side of Manhattan’s midtown.
