Seven internationally renowned port industry thought leaders announced Wednesday that they have launched a web-based program on port development and management aimed at seaport workers, those considering a career in the field and academics.

The seven thought leaders, all in the academic field, jointly cooperate in www.porteconomics.eu, a web-based initiative that develops and disseminates information about seaports. They frequently contribute to industry reports and conferences and publish opinions about port strategy and technology and also lead executive education programs and research projects.

The port development and management program consists of self- study reading, video lectures and personalized assignments. Four modules provide core concepts and insights and participants can chose four additional specialized electives.

Further information about the program is available by contacting Peter de Lang at [email protected].
