Ryder named 2015 Trucking Company of the Year

Ryder Systems, Inc. recently was named the 2015 Trucking Company of the Year at the third annual Gulf Coast Oil & Gas Awards ceremony in Houston, Texas.

“Ryder offers a range of fleet, dedicated transportation, and supply chain solutions that help oil and gas companies improve efficiencies and lower costs while focusing on the health and safety of operations,” Ryder’s Vice President of Operations and General Manager of Oil & Gas Steve Martin said. “We are proud to be recognized by the Gulf Coast Oil & Gas Awards for helping our customers achieve their business and sustainability goals.”

The Trucking Company of the Year Award recognizes the vital role companies such as Ryder provide to the oil and gas industry in the region.

The oil and gas industry relies on trucking companies to take costs and risks out of transportation and logistics, so that customers can  keep supplies and goods in constant motion.

Ryder serves more tan 200 customers in the upstream, midstream and downstream segments of the oil and gas industry.

Today, Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) officials announced that independent credit agencies, S&P Global Ratings (S&P) and Moody’s Investors Service (Moody’s), affirmed the bi-state agency’s bond ratings of ‘A’ and ‘A1’ respectively on both the DRBA’s long-term underlying rating (SPUR) on revenue bonds outstanding and the proposed $180 million Series 2019 Revenue Bonds.
