The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) recently awarded Engility subsidiary TASC a contract valued at $90 million to provide IT security services and analysis.
The company will perform operational testing and evaluation (T&E) on the agency’s IT systems and security-screening infrastructure.
“This award reflects our superior technical approach and our proven performance in support of TSA’s mission to protect our nation’s transportation system and the traveling public,” Engility CEO Lynn Dugle said. “We are proud to continue our support for this vital security-screening program.”
This contract’s term runs for one year, with a fixed price and four possible extensions. The company will be taking part on data analysis alongside evaluation and testing operations in support of TSA operations.
Within the area of cybersecurity, Engility specializes in strategic consulting, cyberforensics, configuration and strengthening systems, and diagnostics and mitigation activity. The company’s website said it maintains the Treasury Department’s Secure Payment System and provides around-the-clock support for clients.
Engility provides security and research-and-development operations for government agencies, including the Department of Defense, intelligence operations, and civilian and international organizations. The company is based in Chantilly, Virginia, and has offices across the globe.
