TxDOT announces construction projects

The Texas Department of Transportation on Wednesday gave the go-ahead with a contract for $30.5 million that will be used to build a diamond interchange at FM 156 and SH 114, which is located in southwest Denton County.

The project is meant to alleviate congestion and improve traffic flow throughout the 1.2-mile project, which was given to the Ed Bell Construction Company.

TxDOT also approved a contract for a $2.5 million bridge and approach on FM 51 at Blocker Creek. Iowa Bridge and Culvert, L.C., was the construction company given the contract.

O. Trevino Construction, LLC was given a $1.06 million contract for concrete repair for FM 407 from I-35E to Briarhill Boulevard and FM 2281 from SH 121 to Hebron Parkway. 

Dates for construction will be announced soon.
