I-65 lane restrictions from Greenwood to Franklin in Indiana

Crews with the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) need to restrict lanes overnight along Interstate 65 between Greenwood and Franklin in order to complete pavement patching.

These plans will continue as long as the weather allows. All of the restrictions will start at 9 p.m. and then finish at 6 a.m.

The restrictions will begin on March 21 for both the right and left lanes along the southbound I-65. These restrictions include either side of the Main Street bridge from Greenwood 100.0 and 98.8 mile markers.

The work includes patching on Tuesday night. These restrictions will be on either side along the Hurricane Creek bridge, from mile marker 93.8 to mile marker 92.0 on I-65 southbound lanes.

Also on Tuesday night, crews will continue spot patching along the northbound lanes. These will stretch from mile marker 93.8 to mile marker 88.0.

INDOT’s crews are now concentrating on bridges on State Road 44, Whiteland Road, Hurricane Creek, and Main Street. They will also continue shoulder strengthening work through the nighttime hours, making certain the road is safe for future traffic lane changes.

The State of Indiana chose Milestone to complete this project. The contract, worth $84 million, is part of the Major Moves 2020 project to build additional travel lanes along I-65, from Franklin to Greenwood.
