The Reading and Northern Railroad recently announced that it has named Thomas Cook as the company’s new Vice President of Transportation and Safety. In 1984, Cook earned his BA in Business Administration from Gettysburg College. Cook’s previous experience with leadership and operations is marked by a zeal of developing engineers and employees while making safety a top priority. The Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT) said on Monday that the on- and off-ramps for northbound I-29 at the U.S. 275/Iowa 92 interchange (exit 47) are set to close on Thursday for approximately one year for road work.
