Arizona's westbound I-10 undergoing paving

Crews with the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) will continue paving westbound Interstate 10, from Benson to Tucson, until next week. The construction zone extends from a mile eastward from Exit 299 for Skyline Road to a mile eastward of Exit 291 for Marsh Station Road. AAR publishes weekly rail traffic

The Association of American Railroads published data Wednesday for U.S. rail traffic throughout the week that ended on Nov. 21. For the second to last week of November, U.S. weekly rail traffic totaled 532,532 intermodal units and carloads, showing a 5.7 percent decline compared to the same time period from 2014. GE recently finalized the sale of its GE Capital, Transportation Finance company located in Canada and the United States to BMO Financial Group. The company gained $8.7 billion from ending net investments. This is equal to $8.9 billion from net earning assets. Public meetings discuss I-69 section 6 routes

Indiana Department of Transportation officials have scheduled a series of public meetings this week to discuss the I-69 Section 6 route extension from Martinsville to Indianapolis. The purpose of the meetings is to gather public requests and input about the routes. The five preliminary routes were first announced in June 2015. Michigan DOT works to maintain state's movable bridges

The Michigan Department of Transportation is on a mission to preserve and maintain all of the state’s movable bridges, MDOT Bridge Management Engineer Rebecca Curtis said. The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration recently published updates from the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Registration Task Force Aviation Rulemaking Committee about registration requirements for UAS devices. I-65 ribbon cutting ceremony takes place on Worthsville Road

Officials from the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony Monday for the new diverging diamond interchange located at Interstate 65 based at Worthsville Road. Beginning at 2 p.m., Greenwood Mayor Mark Myers as well as INDOT commissioner Brandye Hendrickson led the ceremony. The project was delayed, though, because of poor weather. Read More »

Cramer promotes Port Performance Act

Lane closures scheduled to December for SR 347 in Pinal County

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) will be working on sidewalk construction and will need to close State Route 238 and Cobblestone Farms Drive in Pinal County. The closures, which extend from SR 347 to SR 238 and Cobblestone Farms Drive, started Sunday and will end Wednesday. I-8 road work planned to summer

The Arizona Department of Transportation has scheduled road work for Interstate 8, located in Pinal County, through December. Each day, I-8 will be restricted to a single lane, beginning at 7 a.m. and ending at 3:30 p.m. The crews will not conduct their work over the holiday weekend, from Nov. 26 to Nov. 29. I-10 paving work extends to SR 83

Crews with the Arizona Department of Transportation began extending paving from westbound Interstate 10 to State Route 83. These paving operations are mostly based east of Tucson.
